College students are a part of the technological generation. With that comes the responsibility to keep up with all the new gadgets and inventions. In the past few years, digital photography has really taken off. Prices of cameras have dropped dramatically, making it more accessible for people to own one. The only disadvantage about digital photography is that it seems finding the time to print out the pictures once they are taken. The pictures just sit in a digital album on the computer and are not enjoyed to their full extent and cannot be enjoyed by others.

A recent new trend emerged. Web sites are popping up all over, helping make it simpler digital prints. Pictures can be uploaded for a small fee and the company sends the prints back. Here are the top five web sites that have much more than just a picture and much less hassle than going to the store.

For the best quality in a picture, try mpix.com. Mpix offers a variety of sizes, the choice of several different types of photo paper like glossy and matte finishes. They offer frames and can also make a calendar out of all pictures. Prices for basic 4x6 prints range from one to 10 pictures at 29 cents to 11 or more picture at 24 cents for each print.

Looking for a gift for someone? Try ritzpix.com by Wolf Camera, where a person can order a picture on literally anything from mouse pads to puzzles. The prints can also either be shipped out for 19 cents or picked up at a local Wolf Camera within an hour for 25 cents a picture. Enlargements are also available in an hour as well.
Try Shutterfly.com for the easiest web site to order pictures. The web site is very user friend and an easy walk-to-through process. Check out the Kodak picture kiosks at Wal-Mart, Wallgreens and Bi-lo. Prices vary from 25 to 35 cents plus tax.

Out of all of the web sites that were reviewed, Snapfish.com by HP seemed to be the best for the money. All new customers receive 20 free 4x6 pictures and the rest at only 12 cents after that. The customer also gets to create an online album with their pictures to be viewed by friends and family.
